Year 2008

Today is my last working day for Year 2008

I am just down with flu but then hopefully i can recover fast enough to ursher in 2009.

Looking back at 2008, a lot of things has occured. Thou i would say my luck in 2008 is not very good but then again, somehow i am lucky that guardian angels always appear to render help.

To Year 2009, i hope it will be a year of good health, luck and more luck :)

Meet up with my old friends

Today I went out to meet my old time ex-classmates. Dorinda (who is based most of her time in india) is back hence we found a short 2 hours to meet up.

Siang was at home with Papa Yeo :)

Xmas 2008

Oh its xmas day :)

i text some of my contacts and my good old fren reply and told me she is preggie (6mths plus). EDD for her baby boy ;) is next year March 09. So happy to hear the news.

seem like next year is baby bloom :)

i know of at least 6 preggie ladies (bb all due 2009) haha

Its Xmas eve

Early this morning, the person whom i report to (:p) gave me 2 gift. One of it is a box of Belgian biscuits from Marks & Spencer :) - later open up and munch hehe ;)

Hehe today i received another 2 presents and some more chocos :). some more sweeties just came in :)

well, getting ready for xmas :) haha

Tomorrow is xmas eve. As at now, i received from my close working pals 4 more gifts (one of it is the precious moments coaster) and 4 more chocos. I am in love :)

Finally I got my New Hand Phone! haha. Today lovely husband bought for me a new handset from 7-11. it was selling for $68 (without any contract). The handset that i am currenlty holding on was really about to 'retired' :p. Here is my new hp NOKIA 1209; I am so happy hehe

To many, it may be a simple phone. but that is about all that i need ;)

Hehe today i got another present (and yes it was wrapped but i open it :p). its a mousy soft toy :) cute. i display it on my work desk rack.

Today during lunch we went out and brought some chocolates. I got a few to munch too. happy :)

I had a few presents that my working pals give me. one of it was wrapped up...but i open it (shy shy) because i could not wait to see what was inside

I tear open the wrapper and found a photo frame (made up of a blessful family, one papa, one mama, and one kid). very NICE! Last year, the same lady gave me a photoframe in a puzzle form but then its for single picture. I am very touch that she actually see the growth in numbers of member in my family. She has witnessed quite a lot of what i been through these few years.

i got another gift is a self made ornament, its very well done.

Maybe i should bring the presents home and show siang hehe

Blessful to receive gifts :) its the warmful thoughts that comes with the gift (and defintely not the value of it). Cheers to friendship

En En mum has given birth to a boy today at 12.30nn. Weight 2.9kg and 46.6cm

I am so happy for her. A Girl and a Boy. makes a "hao zi" :)

Lizard Part II

It was a rainy day and we did not bring siang out. I went to packet dinner and as i step into the house, siang run to me and say "lizard, papa catch".

I peek around..where is the lizard?

My hubby came out and told me he actually caught a baby lizard which siang spot on the ceiling (how small i don't know :p) in our bed room.

I ask if siang run away? Well, accordinlgy to my domestic helper and my hubby, siang stand at the door way while my hubby catch the lizard.

So i ask siang : "where is the lizard"
Siang reply : "in the bedroom, papa catch"
I reply : "papa & auntie brave, papa & auntie catch lizard", "mama scare, mama run awy"
Siang say : "yes, mama run away"

well, ok. i am scare of lizard :p

Lizard!!

Last night when I was about to bring siang to bed, suddenly siang exclaim "lizard". i look at the ceiling and YES there was a big FAT lizard *YEEKS*....i exclaim to my domestic helper "lizard .. catch liazard".

Off she ran and came back with a broom (while me and siang step backwards)

Alas, the lizard run away. but ... i pronounce her as brave. I told siang "auntie is really brave, she catches the lizard with a broom"

Siang say : Auntie chase lizard
I say : yes auntie chase away the lizard with a broom (post note : erh..wasn't she suppose to catch it?? haha - i do not know why i agree with siang that auntie chase away the lizard haha)

The lizard is really big fat one... scare my nerve out of me. i think siang got a shock too... luckily i got a brave domestic helper :)

Actually i wanted to act brave in front of siang..but well i just could not :p haha.

PH

We had wanted to go for a short oversea trip this long weekend but still decide to save up for another future trip (Hong kong next year maybe?? hehe)

Sat was a rainy day hence did not go anywhere

Sunday - fun fun fun, morning we went to the zoo, then afternoon we brought siang to IMM for some shopping (bought maggel mee hehe)

Monday (PH) - Today we went ikea early in the morning and brought the table and chairs that we been wanting to buy for siang hehe. its in the store room right now, hope to have it fix up soon :p

Kungfu Panda

After siang slept, me and papa yeo watch the newly bought VCD (at IMM) of Kungfu Panda ;)

Very cute show. i learnt that nothing is impossible as long as we belive in ourselve (that is what the magical scroll teaches hehe).

Back to my place

Finally, my work place renovation seems almost done and i am back at my comfort zone. time to really do some work :p

Really tired after all that toys shopping during lunch, but still i manage to shift all my barang barang back to my newly renovated cubicle :)

Moving on

Today is the day i be temporary shifting out of my current cozy little work place to another work station. be back at the new cubicle in another few days to 1 week time.

Here i am typing away and trying to do some simple house keeping.

Hope with the new cubicle, everything will start afresh for me. moving on...

Unconvinced

I am totally and refuse to be convinced why is croup again and again affecting siang? he had his airway(throat) check just less than 3 weeks ago. a cryst was removed....

But today he is down with croup (confirmed and diagnosed by the doctors).

Thou i am aware that croup affects many young kids (esp those below 3 years old) but i never heard any one who got it this numbers of times in one year!

I am going to ask for a appointment to meet up with the neonat (determined!) and the ENT (throat) centre doctor!

this is ridiculous! Its get up my nerves (not because i refuse to belive that siang does fall sick but then ... its kind of puzzled me why could this be happening again and again). thou i admit that as each time passes, siang does kind of recover faster...but this should not be happening. there should be a way of prevention??

I am going to ask whoever i can to open up siang case (as thick as it can be) and have a detail look...

A Day

Today siang is to be alone at home with Papa Yeo :p (and our domestic helper)

Verdict ;) - Papa Yeo is a great papa. even thou he did not really ever tried to handle siang alone but i would say he really tried hard & did quite well (for first attempt)

I really have a lovely family :)

green? what?

Well, my ears been feeling itchy since morning; apparently the old saying is correct, someone is talking about me...

10 mins ago, the person i report to call me into the room, taking this opportunity, i give a brief report on the on-going renovation at my small working area; he seem pleased with the progress; i am happy there is not much comments from him :p

Suddenly, opps! he decide to give me another task....guess what? i am so elated :p (or am i??) soon I am going to take on a task of being a gardener (puzzled? not sure? confuse?); hehe not bad hor, now i am playing 'house' (renovating); then i am going to be a gardener soon (or shall i call myself a park keeper - as in wheel on the bus)?

my life is so interesting :)

Renovation and construction sound - all around me :(

Seem like lately i have to endure with a lot of noise.

At home, there is this work site that has on going construction work (HDB flats) till about 10 pm everyday (except sunday) and lots of banging and drilling loud noise from the machines;

At work, worhrhr...all around me; they are doing our office renovations (that would last about one month plus; changing partitions, painting, hacking, cabling..) I am in the committee of co-ordinating the renovations work.

Noise noise noise; how to work; how to think straight; ok ok. maybe if my heart is in peace my mind/brain would be so too.

shshshshhshs..... sit down and try to gain some peace ;p. i wish i can ON my FM haha

Pray Pray

During siang stay at KKH for his scope, D&E mummy came by and visit siang.

She reminded me that its been a while since we go to the waterloo street temple to pray pray.

This morning we make a trip there and got some blessed flowers.

I hope...with the wash, everything bad will stay far far away from our family.

KKH Premmie Awareness Day

Today mark the 2nd official year that KKH has organised the Premmie Awareness Day.

We did not went to the party that was organised last year as both of us were unable to take leave

This year, Papa Yeo has make it a point that we shall go and haha yeah! we went! Thou its only for a short half an hour stay but then, at the carnival we could feel the effort put in by the organising committee (I know 2 of the mummies who are in the committee).

Personally i felt that its not easy to run a event as there is much commitment as much time is spend preparing for the actual day.

We really enjoy ourselve at the carnival.

Looking forward to next year ;)

Additonal Child care leave

After a total of 2 days of leave, i report back to work. on the news was my company in response to the government call for enhancement of the package for young kiddos, has added in another 1 day of child care leave for all current employees who has kids that is below 7 years old.

Now i have total of 6 days of child care leave.

Its kind of good for us working mothers and sometime annual leave gets easily exhausted :p

This evening i am attending a colleague wedding dinner at carlton hotel (hopefully can take some pix and post here later)

Papa Yeo is taking care of siang (after siang dinner)

hmmm... ask me what is my thoughts? i cannot let go but yet. OK OK. must let go a bit. i am sure Papa Yeo can cope.

Wedding dinner here i come.. Its really been a long while since i am out by myself. feels a bit funny...(somehow, still prefers to go with Papa Yeo and Siang).

but then since mindset already set and we have informed the bride that i am going alone..so..... :p

Cost cutting

I am quite determine to cut some household cost.

For a start, ironing should be done once a week, toilet wash once a week, siang milk bottle one day cook one time, when tv/fan is not in use; the socket should be off... let me see..what else haha

economy is not doing well, i think all tiny effort of cost cutting measures count pah :p

Siang always say sound when he hear a new sound.

Just today i realised my work place CPU have a built in micro speaker. I am going to try to hook up to online radio hehe (ie if i know how to do it :p)

hehe i got it 95FM hehe but wow think i need an ear piece hehe..

Red Day

I am wearing a red top today and a black pants.

Last night I was watching a late night show (by Fann Wong) and i notice how nicely she was dressed up in the show. hence today i decide to come in a red top (which my mama help me purchased during last CNY hehe).

wow bomb bomb bomb. red really and confirm attract attention and for my case, its unwanted ones. lots of work, lots of changes to be made in work plan, giddy ler.

Early morning when my boss saw me, he ask me to change so many of the appointments, then come next, phone rang like never before (all asking for time and plan and schedule).

As i sit at my desk, i tell myself...wow this red top think have to keep for really special occassion, cannot qin cai wear haha.

hehe another half an hour before knocking off. Told my good working pal, i have just finish off a packet of mei ji oat cracker (its proven safe for consumation) :p

awwww; D; D&D; D

I am tired and sleepy. Siang woke up this morning at the wee hours of 1am and again at 5.30am. My flu/cough bugs is still sticking to me

Today is friday again; Weekend is coming and this evening is my company D&D and monday is another D (interesting quoted by my biggest boss here on his email this morning haha). The D on next monday is Deepavali :) which means PH for all. horray!

Me, Papa Yeo and siang is going for the D&D tonight hehe :)

Actually i had planned to share the Singapore Zoo pass (to bring siang to the zoo on Deepavli holi) with one of my working pals but then i think i shall shelf aside this plan for a little while longer until siang had his airway check.

Honestly, reflecting back, i really have very good working pals here :) - think later i go and haunt for some food. Food theraphy really works for me when i am feeling burn out :p

= i tried to satisfy myself with some oats biscuits but...at 1030am hehe, chicken chunks turn out at my desk = viola. That is how nice this place is. and no, its not a food heaven, its just that people here is more willing to share and yes, care :) =

Makes me ponder and reflect...does it apply to human when one is really a hell up their nerves (just a secondary thoughts of mine after i spot this video), I guess, determination plays a part in my life in whatever I do or in whatever decision i made. Ok, nothing is impossible. determination and bravery and some luck ...

A Lookback

Today i reported back to work. Manage to salvage some of the issue that erupted while i was on urgent leave (to be with siang at the hospital)

My good pal aka colleague give me a sound piece of advise. She told me that its time i learn to let go of the responsibility of taking care of siang and let my domestic helper (since i have one) take over some of the task..so as to unload some of my work. She told me, that would enable me to have balance between my life, health and also wholesome family time.

I think it over...can i do it? i do not know. its very tough, perhaps the whole issue is i cannot let go or should i say, i could not entrust siang to my domestic helper (not that she is not good).

anyway, need to achieve a balance... maybe time i learn to let go but then 'can i'???

After disaster

Siang was again hospitalised for croup for 5 days (13 Oct to 17 Oct 08)at kkh... i am tired, really i am. I am not feeling well too...

Today Siang woke up with rashes again on his neck hence i told Papa Yeo must bring him to see a doctor (i had this bad feeling about this rashes thingy). We went to my company doctor (wanted to save some cost). I was right, the doctor told us the rash is an indication that he is allergy to something and hence it trigger his earlier episode of croup and wheezing.

We were told to change the milk that he intake. we bought pedisure.

I hope that it would solve all his upper respartoiry issue.

My annual leave is really running low, siang is having a scope done in November (by the ENT doctor) to check on his airway (hoping to find out a cause for his repeative episode of croup).

Heaven help me..to tide over this year (for my leave), i do not really wish to take any unpaid leave, it would means that my bonus (with year end coming so soon) would be affected as well :(

My work performance has been badly affected but then again, Siang and family is most important and i have to understand that there need to be a balancing point somewhere.

need to find the guardian angels badly....

I hope when i report to work tomoorrow, time bomb is not awaiting me. i do not have much hearts left to handle big issue...my head swirl...

Feeling blue

Siang seem to be sneezing and a bit of cough. i hope he is ok.

lots of things to do at work. luckily the new maid seem to be settling in, i just hope she don't blow hurricane and go up side down....

i am not feeling well but got to come and work as lots of pending issue. my mind is not at work, my heart at home (hoping siang is ok).

Luckily today papa yeo is off... at least he can help ah ma.

All about me

Ok, with effect from today, i decide to put up a blog and write all about myself.

Today i am feeling pretty happy because early in the morning the auntie who always help me clear my rubbish gave me 2 packets of Blueberry layer biscuit.

Its quite nice of her. sometime she will give me fruits and such as well. of course, kindness rewards kindness, i do give her small thoughts of mine at times.

I also toke some tibits and such from my mama house when i came out this morning.

Got to keep myself in top form. Weekend coming :) horray.

Papa yeo already had the weekend planned.
